My Indy Journey – Day 23

Posted On Jul 23 2014 by

Back in the swing of things! And on schedule. I’m finding it easy to crank out a scene when I’ve got a few lines to outline it already in place. It gives me enough creative freedom to let the story flow and enough guideline to stay on track. If you wanna write a book every two months, you don’t have time to write yourself into a corner and back your way out.

So here’s today’s stats:

Now I Knew You: 1,470 words written. 32,200 words total.

Camp Dogs: Fast edited to scene 71 of 93. I just edited plot point 2. And I’m very happy with it!

Scorpion Summer: More character and scene outlining. I think the mom will play a critical role in this story. Hoping more families from the USS Scorpion will contact me. The more details, the better.

Gina and I worked on a few more details for the serial novel. It’s turning into more of an urban fantasy, but we’re not tied to genre around here! I think it’s going to be an awesome story! We’ll start sending out teasers soon. Be sure to sign up for my newsletter to get the episodes.

That’s all folks! Write big or stay home.

Just about everything I believe has been shaped by the written word. But books don't force a belief; they stir the imagination so that you, the reader, eventually draw your own conclusions. We grow richer in spirit when we read, deeper in our understanding of the universe and our role in it. That's why I read. That's why I write. To offer you a bit of myself. Come along on my journey, won't you? There's plenty of room.
